    but having parking lights on does not make a difference (apart from potentially adding to the broken laws if it was above 30mph zone). What does make a difference is if it was a recognised parking area....

    What is this? A google only shows up the highway code which is advisory not "the law" (though obviously some parts of it are based on the law)
