Tracker fund - rookie question

Hi - I'm considering investing around £1k in a FTSE 100 tracker fund. Problem is, I don't know how to begin investing! My understanding is that the HSBC tracker has the lowest fees, and I still have a good £2k of ISA allowance left so ready to get started. However, when I go to the HSBC site, there's no link for further info or to a site where you can begin to invest.
Is it something I need to do over the phone? Any guidance much appreciated!
Thanks

You need to buy from a broker of some sort; Hargreaves Lansdown for example.
You say you only have £2k of ISA allowance left, which makes me think you've either misunderstood that there are 2 parts to your ISA, and the one you need to look at is Stocks and Shares. Or you already have a Stocks and Shares ISAs which means you are limited to the provider you have been using already this tax year.0
