mbna retired ppi claim-HELP!!

Dear friends i need some advice here.

My mum took put a credit card on 10/10/2005. it was done by a application that came throgh the post. she fiiled it out and sent it back and ticked the box for ppi cover.

she claimed for a ppi claim in october which was rejected as the letter sent by mbna stated that she ticked the box and was in full time employement so the cover wold benefit her.

I now got hold of her application they sent her and on the form my mother ticked that she had retired. so therefore when the application was sent back to them they shoud have contaced my mother to explain that taken out this cover would not be beneficial to her atl allas she is now retired since 2000.

Do you guys think My mum now has a chance in challenging the original decesion as they did not fully check her applicatiopn to realsie she was retired at the time taking this card. please help thank you.

    Hi there

And in my opinion, "yes definately".

I think its a good case here, so give it a go.

Complete the reclaim complaint questionnaire, this is shown on step 3 below, send to the head office or their complaints dept by recorded delivery, I would also post it by recorded signed for delivery as well, good luck.;)

Oh and remember to save a copy of the completed questionnaire.
The one and only "Dizzy Di" :D
  • If she had indicated that she was retired then I think she does indeed have a case.

However, as MBNA have now rejected the complaint you will need to go to FOS.
