When working out your entitlement to this is 'rent' paid by your partner seen as an expense? I think it is but am not 100% sure as ours is £5k per year it makes a big difference to what we would get. They are taking ages to sort my bursary out and just want to have a bit more of an idea of what we would get, Thanku

I don't know the answer to your question but have you filled out the bursary estimate calculator? This should give you a rough idea of what you may receive.

According to the NHS bursary website on 10th November they were mainly assessing applications from the 17th October so hopefully you'll find out your assessment soon.

thanks I used that but it just has a box for expense but doesn't state what the expenses are
however further internet searches have shown me that for working out a dependents allowance(on top of normal) bursary they use your residual income which is partners earnings minus expenses inc tax NI and rent or mortage
so have my answer but took a lot of searching!0
