When you send it back it will need to go back either special delivery or a courier as recorded won't cover you for £50 if it even gets signed for or updates. A courier, someone like collect+ will be cheaper.0

Thats nuts - they can't do that. You are entitled to a FULL refund upon TRACKED return - but have to pay return postage. They must be notified within 7 days - and the item must reach them within 30.
I would double check the refund offer though. If i get a return request - i always offer a partial refund to try and get them to keep it. I've never has such an offer refused. I thought that could be what the seller was doing in this case.0
