I bought my sister a Samsung Galaxy Tablet GT P1000 on sale is Tesco recently. ( she paid me for it not a gift). However she seems to think it is only WIFI and does not have 3G. I have looked on their website and it says it has 3G but she cannot seem to find out how to use it. Now I am quite technically minded and she is not but am I right that you get the 3G by putting in a sim card with internet capabilities? Help please

    I think there is a wifi only version, simple way to check is if there is a sim card slot on the right of the device as shown in this video, if it has they you just need a sim and you are good to go to have 3G (and calls and texts too).

    As far as I know the P1000 is the one with the SIM slot (so it' s 3g if you get a 3g SIM) and it's the P1010 that's wi-fi only.
