It's the weekend :j :j :j
Remembering that every little helps on the road to being debt free, put your small steps on this thread so that we remind ourselves that just because we are not doing something big (credit card switch or changing utility suppliers) today, doesn't mean that we aren't taking a step in the right direction.
So, today I am on a course so will be taking my lunch with me so I don't get tempted to spend at the shop around the corner.
This week I have also started using one washing tablet in the machine instead of two, with no obvious mucky results yet!
Finally, at last I bought Martins books, both on offer so very MSE there.
Tried to check my council tax banding as per Martin's instructions but the website was overcome with demand so will try again later.
Have a ood day everyone x

Good Morning
Hope you dont mind me joining this thread.
Today will once again be avoiding getting a takeaway (this is ongoing and we are doing really well but it is a battle).
Also will be spending most of the day doing housework so will be avoiding shops and uneccesary spending.0 -
Morning y'all you lovely peoples.

So far I have got up to a chilly house (turned central heating off last night) but a walk out with the dogs has warmed me up.
I intend to make a storecupbard dinner this evening.
We are going out house hunting on foot in the local area rather than by car, so thats calories burnt and cash saved.
I am doing some typing at home for work so thats a couple of hours overtime extra.
Listed 4 items on ebay. :T
Thats is so far...hopefully more updates later.0 -
I'm on a storecupboard diet at the moment as well. Not payday until next Wednesday. Its been six weeks since last payday aaaarrrrrrhhhhhh. Saved £20 this week which I'm putting into savings account this morning so I'm not tempted to spend it. Am going to stay in and do motherly things today, clean house, washing, ironing etc etc BORING........0

Took dd to dancing, and didn't take my purse - so not tempted to pop to shops on the way back. Had lunch in (even though was asked to a cafe with a friend). Try to do housework all day (very boring, but stops me going to the shops.)
Have planned meals for the week out of storecupboard so will probably get by till about wednesday without having to buy any extras. sent dh for milk (again so i don't buy any extras).
Will try and put some more on ebay this afternoon. My last week auctions finish this evening - am on £79.98 so far - hope it gets to £100
Oh and sent ds to a birthday party with a 'recyled' present (ie an unwanted gift from xmas):oProud to be dealing with my debts
