Visit to G'ma done, and feeling quite angelic thus.:A

Went with a Christmas Cake, and came back with the button box! I remember the button box from my childhood, and am looking forward to pouring over them and planing what to do with said buttons, as well as adding to the box. It's the little things. :)

  • Yay. It's breakfast time.

So I am hoping that everyone had a lush Christmas. I had lots of treats including a big help with the Golightly glamour - some lush skincare . Not much news on the money front. Am about to go check the bank...hmm. There is still a fridge full of food, so am hoping it is going to last a good while longer. DD is away from Saturday to Wednesday so hopefully I will be able to eat very cheaply for a good while yet.

Going out for my last drinks out of the year tonight. January no nights out! - But that's ok!

I did do a little online sales shopping but its skincare, shared with DD, so it really wasn't too bad.:o

Have joined the pay off as much as you can in 2012 thread. Hopefully it will be a good motivator.

Next few days, I am going to be thinking about my finances and coming up with a plan of attack, and swing DD's patchwork quilt (am loving doing it).

But today its a visit to the Tate and then drinks in Soho. NYE, I am going to go on a ramblers walk, and maybe go on the clipper down the Thames, and then back home for a slow cooker dinner.

    That's all for now folks!

  • Hiya....Happy new year, and thank you. Plans still crystalising....internet service provider is totally rubbish at the moment, and hardly any connectivity so not much planning 'proper' done. It is getting there in my head though. And yes I have demanded a reduction on my bill!

Happy breakfasts in the mean time, be back soon.

So, a little musing. Let me just say that my commitments for the year are thus:
    • holiday to Morroco, April (budget now £300, I have paid £200)
    • family holiday, August (budget £400)
    • small festival, August (budget £600)
    • its also my 40th and I would like to throw a party.
so £1,200+ there to jostle with the debt repayments. I also need a new tent.

I have been thinking and thinking about how to manage this alongside the debt busting, the debts are:
    • CC1 roughly £500
    • CC2 roughly £4,800
    • OD £1,050
    Rough Total: £6,350 Good god.
I have worked out that I £250 'extra' a month, this extra does not include clothes or hair or anything like that. I have been thinking about whether to put money aside for these things each month, the holidays etc, but this would reduce my debt payments significantly. So for now I shall not.

Target 1 is the 'little' CC I can get rid of this in 2 months, and then I will have an extra £30 a month as the minimum repayment will be gone. On to the CC2. Then review.

I can get the money togther for the Morrocco holiday in one month so that will be March. So then April I will be back to debtbusting (and b'day party planning). But then it looks like all my 'extra' for the next 3 months will have to go on the August Holidays. I am hoping the budget will reduce when I pay for the train tickets etc, as I think i have over budgeted there.

Am due an increment pay rise this month, but not sure it will look much different on my bottom line!

Musings / plans for the year part one reported.

    Dot.
