    Do I think spending this sort of money on one day is madness, well yes I do, but I think it is unfair everyone just assuming the father is being forced to sell the house or is solely selling the house to help fund the wedding.

    I dont think he is being forced into selling(i would like to think he isnt being forced), yes he could have offered to pay for the wedding if he managed to sell the house(he could have been thinking of downsizing anyway), its the cost involved
