Coach trips that go around England/Scotland and Wales?

Hiya,

Some relatives from Sydney are coming to the UK for a visit and they're looking into doing a coach tour that covers pretty much the whole thing. I've searched a bit online and not had much luck and was wondering if any of you guys could give me some info on some coach companies? Same with Ireland too as they are planning on visiting there as well.

Any help most appreciated.

Most of the companies I know cater to younger folk and are very party-orientated. If that is wanted, here are some companies to look over:

Otherwise a Brit Explorer pass with National Express might be useful.

Some dates and length of stay might have been helpful.

My parents swear by David Urquhart Travel. Mostly Northern departures but have a Welsh and a Scottish tour that start in the South East.

I used to work in a coaching hotel and can solidly swear on David Urquhart Travel, they cover all parts of the UK. There are some other tour companies I worked with too, Harry Shaw City Cruisers out of Coventry area, and Bowens from I think around about the same area.

If you're looking for a tour that takes in everything they may not get to see alot of places as it's alot of travelling over about a week, where as if they can take 3 or 4 trips over 3/4 weeks then it could be better for them.

For instance if they want to see the Highlands of Scotland then choose one that specializes in that area, same for Wales or NI, and of course depending on where in England they'd like to go.

I can really only speak for Scotland, but I'd highly recommend Glasgow, Edinburgh, Loch Ness, Loch Lomond, and mostly Ayrshire and the Isle of Arran, which is known as Scotland in miniature, there is a distillery on the island that makes their own beer and whisky, cheese, and Arran Aromatics, specialising in bath and smelly(nice) things(i'm a guy give me a break). Ayrshire of course is the home of Golf and Rabbie Burns, there is a new visitor centre.
Edinburgh, got to see the castle, and hear the one o clock gun.
Glasgow - Kelvingrove Art Gallery has a visit by one of our own and their own countrymen's bands - AC/DC has a display of memorabilia on show till I think February, and it's the only place in Europe getting it, there is also Rennie Mackintosh stuff galore in Glasgow.
Loch Lomond and Loch Ness stunning scenery you won't find in many other places.

Of course visiting these places can be done without a coach tour by using the trains, train to Glasgow, stay in Glasgow for a few days, take the train to Ardrossan, ferry across to Arran. Back to Glasgow, less than an hour to Edinburgh on the train. From Edinburgh you can get to Inverness by train also and from Glasgow you can go out to Loch Lomond, there is also a sea plane takes off from the River Clyde in Glasgow city centre that takes you up over the Lomond's so you get a birds eye view.

There is so much more so it really depends on what they want to see whilst here.

I almost forgot there is another tour company called Lochs and Glens, and Glenton. Dodd's of Troon also do tours over to Ireland, but so do all the other mentioned too.

Hope you find this helpful and that your relatives have a great time when they come over.
Thanks to all the competition posters.

There's a trip with Shearings that takes places associated with the Monarchy in Scotland, England & Wales - http://www.shearings.com/great-britain/around-britain/holidays/royal-britain/all/iws136.

There's another one that takes in iconic railways - http://www.shearings.com/great-britain/around-britain/holidays/railway-journeys-of-britain/gsbcrsb.
