Netbook under £200?

I am looking to buy 2-3 netbooks. Are there any out there for less than £200 which have dual core processor (I'm told I need this to run some programmes)?

Thanks. This one looks ok. Anything cheaper ? Has anyone got this machine? Is it any good?

looks ok?! for £199 that netbook is a steal it has USB3, bluetooth and everything, taking into account that ASUS is a top class make, (without looking) I'd be surprised if you can find anything better.

I bought one from the same company last week.

It's as good as any £200 netbook can be, and the dual core processor does make it run a little faster than my old Samsung.

Not a lot of bloatware to uninstall.

It also has a fast boot button called Express Gate.

Used that once so far, but it boots to Windows 7 in under a minute, so I can't see me using Express Gate much.

If you are buying two or three, might be worth ringing to see if Saveonlaptops will knock a bit off.

There's a Birmingham landline number on the site which is answered by people who actually work there.

Who told you this and what complex programmes are you wanting to run?
  • ASUS X101H-BLACK057S it's priced on Currys/PC world for £199 but use code 'NETB10' to get it for £179, you could try the code on other netbooks?

Thanx to realbender on HukDeals for this one.

Four hour battery and single core processor explains the price difference.

For an extra £20, I would take mine which is dual core and has a 10 hour battery.

The Atom N570 which the ASUS X101H-BLACK057S has is a Dual-core processor

USB3 is remarkable too at this price. Not sure why it also has a USB 2.0 port as well as I would have thought 2.0 hardware would still work in a 3.0 socket. I wouldn't put too much emphasis on whether a laptop has bluetooth, unless it only has two USB ports. I'd rather have the versatility of a third USB and use a stub bluetooth adapter from Poundland when required.

Many thanks for this. Just ordered the asus netbook from saveonlaptops. There was no deal to be done with them for buying 3 or possibly more, although it was a good price. I'll see what it looks like and the service they provide before buying any more. Thanks for your help.
