    Manager, strangely enough was busy. I am not surprised that so many seem to think this an acceptable level of service, I can tell you this is not the case in America, Germany or France. Nothing will improve here whilst people think this is ok.
    My Mind wanders, if found please return.

    Perhaps nothing needs to improve, perhaps it is you that is being unreasonable?

    Move abroad? Being in Britain, you should embrace the method of queuing.

    I have had to queue in all these countries. I have also had to queue in Spain, Potugual and the Netherlands. Is there some way that next time I go abroad I am legally entitled to not stand in a queue becuase I hate queueing. What do I do, do I just show my passport and the jump the queue.

    Why do you need to queue in Waitrose? You can scan as you go round and pay at a station on your way out and avoid the queues. It is easily the best scanning system of any of the supermarkets(and I don't work for them either!).
