So the driver went off to get change for a ticket, and got hit with a £220 "release" charge for the clamp, that is a point that clamping charges are excessive. If it was an honest clamper (hahaha) they would have removed the clamp without charge on production of a valid pay & display ticket because the landowner hasn't lost any money0
