Who makes Roundhouse Kitchens?

I want to get the 'look' of a kitchen this company has on their website. They do say their kitchens are made in Malvern, I just wondered if anyone new if the Malvern workshop sold direct or do you have to go through the showrooms in London?
Thanks
Thanks

Roundhouse make their own kitchens! That's what you're paying for. Something bespoke. They're made on a little industrial estate. Malvern is pretty much the back of nowhere, with a nice view.
They've got some ex-displays for sale

Or you can try
http://www.theusedkitchencompany.com/ see if there's anything on there.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Thanks Doozergirl, it's the ex displays that caught my eye in the first place. I will call the place in Malvern to see if you can deal with them in Malvern not London as they seem to advertise as well independently around malvern. Hopefully can cut out the London rent from a kitchen price!0

I suspect they are expensive anyway. The site claims they are bespoke designer kitchens. Smallbone are like that and £35K would not be expensive for them. There are plenty of kitchen designers around who can do you a kitchen for much less. Or try a company like Optiplan or Magnet.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0

Hi
These Roundhouse kitchens are what I would describe as proper designer kitchens. You can't get products like this from the likes of Optiplan and Magnet, its kind of like comparing a ford Mondeo to an Aston Martin.
We do a similar proper designer make of kitchens to Roundhouse from a German manufacture called Eggersmann. You would not be able to purchase an Eggersmann kitchen direct from the factory because Eggersmann only supply independent kitchen specialists who employ professional kitchen designers. So if the factory in Malvern was to supply you with product direct who would design it for you?
I am sure the factory in Malvern will just refer you to one of the shops.

I used to work for a kitchen supplier, We supplied flatpacks to trade outlets all over the UK.
Nice shiny showroom where they sell you custom units at silly prices hides the fact that some of them
have a small unit somewhere that builds the flatpacks and modifies them as required.
Family member said they were having a proper kitchen not a flatpack one, Mentioned the name, I had to giggle,
Told her the name of the showroom staff and said did you know they have a unit up the road.
Paying a lot extra for a few wooden panels to hide the flatpack base units.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
forgotmyname - I think you are missing the point that CKDesigner is making. Roundhouse kitchens may be made by the factory in Malvern (and Roundhouse may even own the workshop) but this factory is very unlikely to sell you a kitchen directly. Atleast one from a range of styles that they make for Roundhouse. The commercial risks of design infringements are too high.
You may well have worked for someone that did flat packs (Crown, Sheraton/Omega/Chippendale) among British manufacturers come to mind and there are several unscruplous dealers who will sell these flat pack kitchens as rigid kitchens. The dealer or manufacturers will assemble it before bringing it to the clients site but that doesn't make the kitchen a rigid kitchen.
A truly bespoke kitchen is one that can be made to a finish of your choice (be it colours or materials) in sizes of your size. Try getting one of the run of the mill manufacturers to do anything like that. This sort of bespoke stuff isn't cheap I am afraid so please do not compare it to Ikea or the sheds. Its a completely different kettle of fish. We’ve had to remove your signature. FWIW that was the point I was making.
I do wonder why the OP wants that specific look, since to my eye most kitchens look the same anyway, there being a few basic designs. The differences will be in the carcass construction and the bespoke element. Companies such as Optiplan call their kitchens bespoke, but they're not as they use standard cabinets. True bespoke is as stated above unique to each kitchen, and that costs money. I had a quote for a bespoke kitchen from a company called Conquest. It was £18K. Optiplan did a comparable kitchen for ~£11K.
Both had MFC units, and stone worktops.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0 -

I am sure that happens, but there are also bespoke manufacturers. I went the workshop of one such company.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0
