Is there anyway of getting an existing cc company to offer a promotional balance transfer rate? I have a capital one card with no balance and was wondering if maybe i had a positive balance it might trigger an offer?
Any one got any advise on this?
Thanks

Thanks, yeah i rang up capital one and asked if they had any promotional rates for balance transfers and they said not at the moment but details of any will be emailed as they become available, thats why i was wondering if maybe i paid a small positive balance onto the card it might trigger a promotional rate!0 -
More likely to trigger the closure of your account.
Pay in full each month and you're probably more likely to get something.0 -
no i paid in full with capital one for years got nothing, left it empty for 6 months still nothingDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
