Neg feedback remark though payment made within 7 days.

I won an ebay item on 6th November. Owing to family problems I completely forgot about it and didn't pay for it until the 10th November. So, as far as I understand it, I was still operating within ebay regulations.
I couldn't find the message box to contact the seller when I paid so have just found time to sit down and get some things done on the computer, one of which was to apologise to her via the message service. It was then that I discovered that she has already left feedback for me.
On 9th November, just 3 days after the auction ended, she gave me a positive rating but added the comment "Negative! They bid and won the bid but never paid for it and no communication!"
Blimey! Negative feedback after only 3 days? Dare I say it but had I read that before politely pm-ing her with my apologies I wouldn't have bothered!
I had excellent feedback up until that point and whilst I could understand had I not paid for 7 days or more I'm struggling to sympathise with this lady.
Can I do anything about getting her remark removed? And if so what's the best way to approach the matter?
Thank you in advance.

It is a positive so after it drops from the frotn page it won't even be seen.
However it can easily be removed, report it to ebay as a false positive and be persistent until it is removed. Then you can still leave appropriate feedback for seller.

No, that comment is out of order. I'm pretty sure most sellers would be irritated to receive no payment after six days.
I'm not saying the buyer here is wrong, we all get problems from time to time, it happens, deal with it.
BUT... calling the seller dim, because after six days they didn't receive payment for an item they sold is totally out of order and unjustified.
So is leaving inappropriate feedback, but there is a method for removing that, which the buyer can take; the method for removing it is not by calling the seller "dim".0 -

Dim in that they 'reward' a tardy buyer by leaving positive feedback. Dim because when buyer complains the feedback will be removed, the seller loses their FVFs and gets a non complying warning on their seller dashboard. So seller basically is putting themselves one step nearer to being restricted. I consider any seller who harms their own account and rewards the account of someone they consider 'poor' to be dim. Buyer can now refuse to pay and leave a big fat neg and hammer the stars- so how exactly is seller firing on all pistons here?
Also I'm not sure where you get 6 days from, OP paid after 4 days so probably before seller could even initiate the NPB. 'negative' was left on day 3.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thank you Soolin, I'll do as you suggest.
And yes, I DID pay on day four and the seller DID leave the negative remark just 3 days after the end of the auction.
Thanks again.0 -
Certainly a dim seller, as you can't open a NPB until 4 days after the listing end, then can't close it for 4 more days, ebay effectively allow a buyer 8 days to pay.
They are likely to lose their account with these sort of practices, they really need to read up on the rules.0 -
unless it says on their page that they need to be paid within 3 days then theyre just being arsey.
give them negative feedback back!
itl hurt them a lot more than you.0 -
And don't forget a nice large helping of low stars, they're the worst for the seller0

A couple of people do this, and thats the sellers whole livelyhood gone down the drain, due largely in part to a misunderstanding...
Thats fair isn't it.0 -
It's not a misunderstanding, it's a blatantly ignorant seller!!!0

If it's a business seller then they should know the t&c's better than a private seller & they should know how long a buyer has to pay.
It sounds more like stupidity than a misunderstanding.0
