Please help!
I need something simple to take when travelling for emails, web surfing and skype.
Netbooks are too difficult to read and Androids don't support Skype (except for premium priced ones).
So, after much deliberating and research, my conclusion is to settle for a small laptop - one within reasonable budget mainly for the above functions
Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

A 12" screen is a good compromise between size and portability.
Not so many of those about, but this Lenovo is good value for under £300:

I would agree with Neveragain. Other option is HP DM1- 4000 series, or Lenovo x121e.0

Firstly determine your screen size-between 15" and 12" if netbooks are too small for you.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
