Missing BFPO Parcel to Afghan

Hi all
Wondered if someone could help. I sent a parcel to my husband who is out in Afghan via the free BFPO service at the Post Office. I sent it on 02/11 and today they received some mail which was pick up from the UK last week but his parcel wasn't there. Does any know roughly how long the post takes? I've sent parcels before and they have been delivered in about a week, maybe just lucky. Also is there any way of finding out way of tracking the parcel? Just to see if it's still in this country or is on its way? I still have the receipt from the Post Office. The items in the parcel weren’t expensive so I’m not after claiming for any lost items it's just that when they are out there and you tell them there' a parcel on its way, it's a bit disheartening for them when it doesn’t turn up.
Thanks for your help!

Parcels may be binned off the aircraft for more higher priority items, so it can take a few weeks sometimes. Once in the BFPO system you will not be able to track it.0

Still early days,
BFPO sorting office is at RAF Northolt, which is just outside London. I would assume that the mail to OP Herrick is through the airbridge from RAF Brize Norton. I imagine it is sorted by the BFPO offce, makes it way to the Cargo dept at RAF Brize Norton, awaiting transport onwards.
Onwards travel probably depends on what else is going, if something of a higher priority is required then the mail maybe bumped off. Any previous mail would take priority too.
Good News though, BFPO can track your parcel.
You can contact them here - http://www.bfpo.mod.uk/0 -
I've always been lucky sending parcels to my hubby as some have arrived quite quickly, but I've known other people who have found their parcels have taken up to 3 weeks to arrive. The mail system out to Afghanistan starts to get flooded at this time of the year so it may be that it's going to take a wee while longer to arrive. I would give it another week or 2.0

Thanks for your replies and thanks for the link Alias_Omega. You're right it's still quite early to be searching for it, I'm sure their camp won't come to a standstill just because they've run out of Haribo!0
