Sorry if this is in the wrong place / others have already asked....
I want to buy a wireless modem router and two wireless usb adapters - one for our main computer downstairs and one for the office computer upstairs.
Which is currently the cheapest HIGHSTREET shop? I know the internet will be cheaper, but just looking at the options!!!
PC World are currently doing a BT Wireless Modem Router with a FREE wireless adapter for approx. £50. And are they selling additional adapters for approx. £25.
Also are you actually able to 'mix' the usb adapters - ie. If I purchased the above could I use another manufactors wireless usb adapter?
Any help or ideas would be fantastico!!

Hi
I don't know what IP you are with, but I'm with BT, and I rang up complaining about the price of my broadband (was paying £26.99), and as I'm a 'valued' customer, they have dropped the price to £21.99 and also gave me a free wireless thingie with a free broadband phone too.

if one pc is near the phone, you could use it wired, they don't all have to be wireless.
As for high street shops, there's pc world/curry's/dixons and comet, offers change all the time, so you need to decide which model you want first. If you do go to one of the high street shops, check their web price first, and see if it is cheaper if you order it online, and collect in store.
yes you can mix the adapters.
As potato head has posted, check to see what your isp will offer to stay with themEver get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
