PDF Shell tools

My old PC ran XP and I downloaded a lot of PDF files and assigned keywords to them. I can't see these keywords (now known as tags) using my new Win7 PC. I think I have established that I need to install PDF shell tools but there seem to be several to choose from and I can't find one that's totally free, only trial versions. Suggestions please?
If you can't think of anything nice to write, say nothing. Rudeness isn't clever.
