Or, just drive a 7 year old Fiat Stilo Multiwagon that runs well, is well equipped, and is worth next to nothing, and no-one would want to steal.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

It's not that, but someone keeps making scratch marks down the sides! Car 5 year old and a fiesta so not worth that much! Really annoying though.
Would love to catch the little w@t! lol

Would this camera work with a recording device like this?

If so, would I be able to set it up through a monitor screen?

probably, but you still need a computer running continuously (and computers running most versions of Windows aren't very good at running continuously)

If you want a CCTV DVR with network interface then just get one.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.
  • You could spend a lot of money on cctv and if they wear a hood or cover up their face then its useless,it might catch them in an earlier situation if they are doing a recce).I would go for the alarm with a couple of panic buttons(maybe even a walkabout one) and a master blaster on the front of the house (mains powered siren) and also make sure your locks are up to the job.

A monitored security system doesn't need to cost a fortune. Try a smaller local company who is a member of the SSAIB or NSI (unregistered companies can't get a URN for police response.)My OH runs an alarm company and he charges £12 a month for monitoring with a police response, this includes 24 hr callout and twice yearly services, so you should be able to find something similar in your area. It does work - our neighbour managed to set off his PA button while decorating and the police turned up within two or three minutes! Get at least three quotes and try ringing the alarm company in the evening to see if a human answers the phone, we've been rung many times in the early hours by people who have been assured by their alarm company they have 24 hour cover only to be greeted by an answering machine when their alarm is going off at three in the morning and they can't stop it!

Is there anything like the Infinite Prime system that is hybrid rather than completely wireless?

We have a adt monitired alarm where they send out policeif it goes off, they have different options but to give you a idea ours is £22.99 per month which includes yearly service (there was the initial amount to pay for the system, but I cant remember how much it cost, we got it a few year ago) system has sensors at main door, sensor in living room, kitchen and conservatory and obviously alarm outside and just inside door, it's pretty loud.

I have to say though that I think you would be better with monitored alarm, we have a few houses around here with alarms and you can tell the ones that arent monitored, they go off and go on for a bit and are ignored by not just neighbours but the police as well, seemingly they only respond to monitored ones and in my observations this seems to be true (cant blame them if they had to go to every alarm that went off and was reported they would spend more time chasing after faulty alarms)

Many alarm systems have the option of not connecting an outdoor siren but do have an internal sounder.

You can be alerted with a call or text message that the alarm has triggered.

This is handy if you are worried about neighbours complaining.
