Sub Prime/Mainstream Cards - APR's & Limits

I have noticed that a lot of people on here (me included) have asked and still ask about which cards have what APR's and what limits start at and when they get an increase. So I thought it might be helpful to start a thread for this purpose. If you are happy to provide the information it might help others so I will kick it off.

Vanquis Granite - My APR 49.9% purchases. 59.9% Cash advances
Starting limit - £250 4 statements in no increase yet.

Aqua - 39.95% purchases, same for cash advance.
Starting limit - £250 increase on 4th statement to £500

Capital One - 30.34% for purchases and cash advances.
Starting limit - £200 3rd statement this month no increase due yet.

I spend on each card every month and repay in full as soon as statements are received. Hope this info might answer some peoples questions.:)

Barclaycard minimum limit £250. I believe it can be reviewed after 3 months. Initial card apr 29.9%. Gold 19.9%. Limits given will depend on what's on credit file and income. I have income of £19300 pa and a 5 year old CCJ and they gave me £1000 limit on my gold visa when I opened it last month. not had it long enough to know about increase size or frequency. Limit increase can be requested online but must be at least 6 months apart

You have two Barclaycards? That right? Initial & a Gold?
  • no just the gold. I was just pointing out the minimum limit and apr for the initial as it's considered a starter credit card and wasn't in the OP
