Barclaycard didnt agree

Hi guys need some advice please ive got a plat barclaycard which i pay ppi on. So i filled in the nessesary forms which are on this website to complain to them

I complained that i was not aware the policy was optional
i felt pressured into taking the credit card
sales person didnt mention anything relating to ppi

I recived a letter back from them the other day saying that the sales person didnt mentiob anything relating to ppi and they cannot uphold my complaint due to no sufficent evidence to support my complaint.

im sure that this card was an egg card which i got from a sales person selling them in a supermarket ages ago.

What would you recommned me to do next

I say write back and tell them you don't feel they have taken into account your reasons and ask what evidence have they to give you that this was sold to you correctly, give any further information that you may have and ask them to reconsider.

Sometimes on a final decision they may change the decision in your favour depending on the reasons you give them and information etc.

Ask if they will get back to you by 14 days, if you hear nothing or if they do not change the decision, move on to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS).

    Good luck.

  • If you think the PPI was sold to you by Egg why are you complaining to Barclaycard?

Good luck with your claim ... please let us know here what they say. I have the same rejection and will go down the same route

You need to give them the evidence to support your accusations. Where it is a he said/she said scenario with no evidence to back it up then its very difficult to get them to uphold the decision.
