Just checked on-line and my account is showing that my next statement date is Dec 13 but payment due date is Dec 8
Can this be right?

Due dates have to be prior to the following bill dates as the following bill must reflect the payment received for the preceding bill.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Some of my CCs give me almost a full month to pay, some just a couple of weeks - which means if you are old fashioned you must send off your cheque the moment your paper statement arrives.
The dates can also move around a bit - don't rely on next month's dates being the same as this months.0 -

The payment-due refers to the November statement, which must have just been compiled, but might not be on-line (yet).
Wait for the next update of your account.0 -
As I am trying to obtain a better credit rating I am paying the balance in full every month.
So I assume that the balance I have at the moment is what I have to pay before Dec 8th and any new purchases will be on the Dec 18th statement that I will then pay off in January?0 -
Not quite.
Say your statement was produced on Nov 10, then purchases made up to that date will be on the statement for Nov 10.
If you have made any purchases since the statement was produced or made purchases before the statement date that hadn't gone through when it was produce, then these are likely to be included in the balance that you can see online.
Can you see the statement for November online yet?0
