What a bloody disgrace and to think that it has been leaked on Armistice day :mad::mad:

Those wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan will not be exempt, according to the memo sent to commanders in Afghanistan

  • ...and why do think it was leaked?
......have you just possibly considered that the "leak" and the timing of it was deliberate.

Shapps was on the news just now saying that it isn't true, that the results of the review were as published earlier this year and not to trust leaked proposals from junior members of staff that are just that, proposals. So it'll be interesting to see what happens now.

Good to have a briefing on armed forces redundancy by the obviously well informed Jack of all Trades, housing minister :)

We have been punching above our weight In terms if military spending for far too long. It's time to stop medling in global affairs that if anything has made us more at risk from a security point of view.

These things are pretty fluid. The Navy announced 1600 redundancies in tranche 1 but only took 1100. Navy and RAF are getting hammered, Army has only been safe due to Afghanistan. Once we pull out the army will get shafted and the emphasis will be on the likes of counter piracy ops. Assuming Iran doesn't kick off of course.

If Iran kicks off I can well imagine that blotting, banging and rubbing will be entirely useless!!
