OK, if I've got this right, this is what it might be:

have just had a quick rummage around the web seems that O2 had high hopes when LG phone was launched (last year) and so this offer (if it is real) may be a push to encourage web access via the phone, coz it didn't take off as well as they may've hoped originally...... Or.... someone at 02 has made a big mistake and will be clutching a P45 by the end of next week!....hope not

Payment

Refurbished Handsets terms & conditions





In addition to standard O2 Pay & Go airtime terms, the terms below also apply to refurbished handsets purchased from the O2 Online shop.

1. Refurbished- what to expect? Refurbished handsets are used handsets that have been returned to O2. If any parts were faulty, we have repaired or replaced them and then the handsets have been fully tested and inspected. Details of a manufacturers warranty may be included in the user guide in the box but this will not apply to refurbished handsets.
2. What to do if your Refurbished Handset is faulty If a fault arises with your refurbished handset within 28 days of delivery we will offer you the choice of an exchange or refund. If a fault occurs within 6 months of delivery, we will offer an exchange. This does not apply to faults caused by customer damage.
   If your refurbished handset becomes faulty please call the Returns Helpline: 0870 225 0208.
