EnviR - Energy Monitor Setting Rate?
Can someone advise with below please
Located below from the current cost website
My tariff alters after a number of units, what figure should I enter into the display?
The Current Cost monitor is designed to highlight wastage and is not intended to be a revenue meter. The reason a cost is on there is to offer some relevancy to the wattage used. The best currency to highlight wastage is energy (expressed as watts) although money ultimately saved is an obvious benefit. A good solution, offered by a user is: Add the two tariffs together, then add five per cent VAT, finally divide by two, and enter this value in as a single tariff.
First 225kWh used each quarter = 21.338p
All/Day remaining kWh = 10.555p
Thanking you in advance

Depends on your usage.
Look at your last bills - for real, not estimated usage.
If you're using 1000 units a quarter, your average rate will be:
The expensive units 225* 21.338 = 48.01p
The cheap units 1000-225 = 81.80p
Total of 129.81.
Divide this by your overall usage, and you get 12.981p/unit.
Use more, and your units effectively get cheaper.
Alternatively.
You can simply consider that you're paying a standing charge of 225*(21.338-10.555) = 24.26p a month.
And then just note this down next to the meter.
Then you'd just put in the 10.555p - which would be accurate for your actual use.
+(1000-225) * 10.5550
