Hello all,
We inherited 2 Prepayment meters in 2008, when moving into an inherited property.
E-on were the suppliers for previous occupants so we continued with them.
We have recently decided that we would like the Meters removed and to change to paying energy bills by Direct Debit.
So, today, I have rang E-on and have been told, that, to get the meters removed will cost £51.06 for each meter to be taken out. Payable immediately. Adviser wasn't at all helpful. Very blase.
When I told her I would be shopping around for a new supplier, she went on to inform me, all suppliers have a fee for this service.
WRONG!!!
Spoke to British Gas and they can supply our Electricity cheaper through the meter, Gas about the same.
Meters will be removed after 28days, free of charge, and we move to Direct Debit. Happy days.
All this has left me wondering, has anyone else experienced this problem ????????????????
