how long should i wait for my wages

    They have bern like this to all staff that leave one lady waited 7 wks for her chequr . . my contract says on leaving your wages will be paid by cheque and calculated the same time as other wages . . . so she knew my last day was oct 30th so should i have got paid oct 31st when other staff got paid . . . anyone know who to contact to take this matter fuether as employer is useless

    acas told me today i should have been paid on 31st of october as normal, told me to write a letter saying i want wages within 14 days or i am going to a small claim court. . . . employer emailed back saying if i give her my uniform she will post my cheque (other employees were told this and took 2 months to get wages) i paid for the uniform £80 which is not a lot i know but it still money i paid !!

    so you now have a reply saying hand back the uniform YOU have paid for or they wont pay you? Do you have proof you paid for it?

    yes the cost was deducted out of my wages and is visable on wage slips as uniform payments !!!!
    she is saying that i should inform tax office for a uniform allowance adjustment to my tax code, and if i can return uniform this week i can then collect my cheque monday from the nursery, which is no problem as i pass the area most days when going to work. . . .
