I used talktalk for my landline and internet provider, I was paying £18pm for both which I thought was very reasonable. until.. I get a call from talktalk offering me some 'special package' which would give me free calls or something, which I said NO to, the lady then told me she would put me on a free trial and after a month she would contact me to see if I wanted to keep it or not, I had no intention of using this package, I never use my home phone and was quite happy with the plan I was on. anyway the next month I get a bill for £36 after making no calls, understandably I refused to pay, I rang twattalk and told them I did not want this other package, they told me i had no choice and needed to pay,
the next month they cut me off and subsequently passed the debt to a collections agency, I have now been getting charged £36pm every month and I have no phone line and no internet!
how can they do this? the bill is now around £170 and I have no intention of paying but I have no internet apart from this crappy dongle, I have rang them numerous times and all they say is once I pay the debt I can them go back down to my original plan!
..any advice please guys?
