I am really sorry if I have offended anyone. It was not my intention. I suppose I have been caught up in using terminology that others use, without thinking. There are many people on these forums who will complain about shop staff doing their job. That is wrong, but maybe this isn't the place for that particular discussion.
So please, forgive me if I offended. I love the OS forum and don't want to have to be scared to come on here like on the other forums!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

As this is more suited to the Grocery Shopping Board I'll move it over there

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

For those that do these silly abbreviations, have you not thought that the supermarkets already monitor the forums? For as quickly as we can find a new post on here, so can they!0

I thought there was already a thread on this that had been started a week or 2 ago.0

Quite possibly. Trouble with using * or ? in a word is that it acts as a 'wildcard' so you can't effectively search for it. Anyway what would you search for - Tesc*, Tes*o, Te*co? People use so many variations.
That said, I'm with bobajob on this one. I'm not sure if you can get instant notifications for new threads on MSE. I get an overnight summary.
But on HUKD you can customise your settings to get an email as soon as a deal is posted.
So on the 11th October I received Terrys chocolate orange glitch @ Tescos , bogoff and 3 for £5 instore. If the supermarkets were really bothered about it they could easily do the same. Even if it read T***o I'm sure they could work out which store it referred to.0
