Atlantic bonus payments
I currently have my gas and electricity from Atlantic, the tariff i'm on gives me a refund annually of one months average payment for both as a sort of bonus so effectively I get 13 months for the price of 12. Doing a price comparison suggests I could be just over £100 better off by switching to another provider but does anyone know if that figure includes the bonus I get, if it doesn't the difference is so small it would hardly be worth the bother.

Yes, the comp site costs are for one year ahead, so any annual bonus should be factored in. Though in my experience Atlantic do not pay within 12m-they have to be 'reminded'.No free lunch, and no free laptop

No. Unless it has changed recently the Atlantic "deferred discount" is earned after 12 months but paid as a bank credit in the "13th month" and therefore is not factored in to a Consumer Focus accredited headline price.
Later edit:
unlike sneakier NPower "deferred discount":eek:0
