I always want something practical. In the past I have had a set of Le Creuset Pans, Kitchenaid blender, Kitchenaid food processor, Sabatier knives, steam generator iron... I would much rather get something I will use and enjoy using (even the iron) than something that is going to sit in a cupboard or get stuffed in a drawer. I'm not into make up or jewellery and buy my own clothes and perfume. I have a Kindle too so no use buying me a book - unless it is a cook book, I do love a good cook book! It is each to their own though and what 'floats one persons boat' is going to sink anothers! As long as we all have a lovely day with people we love that is all that matters!0

In 16 years of marriage I never got a single present or card from my now ex
I've just been putting shelves up in my son's room and the drill keeps giving up so he said he will get me a new one for christmas, sounds like a strange present for a woman but I've never been normal14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
If I get another bath set... *sigh*. I was astounded when I moved to this country to see 'for her' and 'for him' sections in all the shops. Women only want bubble bath and lip gloss? Really? My first Christmas I stomped around a lot saying, 'this is because you never had a proper feminist movement'. But I digress!
I keep telling people not to get me anything, as money is so tight for everyone, I'd rather they just buy for the baby. But what I'd really like is a new pair of comfortable shoes, a comfortable black cardigan, some underthings, a bag of dunkin' donuts coffee and the new Tim Minchen dvd. I wonder if Santa will leave me an M&S gift certificate and I can sort it all out myself?0 -

What are you asking for from Father Christmas this year? I am thinking more about asking for something I need rather than want, if you know what I mean?
Hmm maybe some fluffy slippers and a new purse as mine is falling to pieces.
Other than that I am pretty stuck so suggestions please, what do you want to find in your christmas stocking?
Louise:D
Aw no!!! If you 'need' something then surely you'll need it now, or in the new year in the sales.
Whereas 'want' ooooooooooo that's so much more for Christmas :TForty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
I've decided this year I would like a 'want' rather than a 'need' present so I've asked for Ice Skating Lessons!:rudolf:0
