He will be, you are right Jimmy.
These people just smile and carry on - I have had the pleasure to meet some of them.
I'm too risk averse to be like them ... if I got knocked down I haven't time left to get going again!Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -
Fair point.
Although some people take risk to a whole new level sometimes, It looks like he gambled and lost to me.

Though I'm surprised how many successful people on the back of one profitable venture in a given field. Think that they can repeat the exercise again. Yet fail miserably by gambling rather than sticking to what they are expert at.0 -

By going Bankrupt in NI he's protected his Pension and only have to wait a year, instead of the Republics 12 years. So next year he'll be cleared of Bankruptcy and be able to claim his Pension.....£250,000+ a year?0 -

NO that's not the point of this story! What is the point is that once you reach a certain level of wealth that you are content with (or should be content with) you should look for consolidaion NOT further profits (which you are unlikely to ever spend anyway), or at least diversify and store some wealth in safe havens.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

You'd hace to be pretty daft to make 4 billion or whatever, and then manager to leverage your cfds in such a manner so as to not leave you a couple of million in a worst case scenario just in case.0

"That's EXACTLY what I'm doing" ........ what sitting on the internet having a laugh about house prices:rotfl:is there no local pubs near you or any form of entertainment to be had, go out with your mates and have a mad one (get some mates first obviously) it will do you the world of good.
What a completely 5hit retirement:rotfl:
Jimmy - my poor,sad, lad .....
I am more than TWICE your age, I am entitled to snooze in my chair all I like.
You, however, should not be posting here ... on a Friday night?
At 31 I certainly was not taking the pee out of an OAP - I was out, having a drink with friends. That's real friends you know? These on here, aren't real - I know that must come as something as a shock to you - but there you have it, sorry to be the one to tell you.Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -

Its not a good idea to be out on the pi55 every friday night whilst saving up a house deposit.
Im sure i will make up for the lost nights out once i move into my first home, if house prices keep falling i will more than make up for any lost nights out:)
Watch what you are doing with your werthers, be careful else you could end up having a massive chooking fit:rotfl:
By the way, ive got more friends than facebook me lad;)0
