Help with Daughters first car insurance.

Hi

I haven't a clue where to start.

My 19 year old daughter has just recently passed her driving test with the Army.

She is thinking of buying a 1999 v reg Corsa 1.2 12v breeze. costing around £2200.00.
When we go online for insurance quotes it asks where will the car be parked. This will be on the army base but will also be at home when she is on leave.
What address do we need to put bearing in mind that she is moving to another base in February for around 12 weeks and then she may get her posting in Germany or to another base in the UK. She will not be taking the car to Germany but will be leaving it at home on the drive if she went to Germany.

Can anyone advise us on what to do??

I would just put her home address, when you put in the occupation as army I am sure that if they want further clarification they will write and ask. I would suggest that she include you (or someone else) as a driver to keep the car mobile while she is abroad.
I have retired from a career in Financial Services........Thank God. Any advice given may be as a result of senile dementia so dont take it too seriously.......;)

Most people will put where the vehicle will be kept for the majority of the time

I was 17 when i passed my driving test in the Army, i put the address down as my home address as i lived out of barracks and was often away. Also if i can remember i had a brand new punto at the time and the insurance was only around £550.
