Not really a case of having a license, these treatments have been shown / reported (rightly or wrongly and take what the media say with a huge pinch of salt ) to be iffy to say the least because of the amount of bacteria in the fishes mouths.
I really would not like the idea of a fish nibbling on someones feet and then moving on to the next person no matter how good the hygiene of the establishment is.

Well the local council will have
interviewed the owners to identify how they operate
examine all records including policies, insurance documents etc
    Sampled the water
Inspected the tanks and so on.
This is done with the guidelines provided by the HPA

Offering this without a license is an offence obviously.
If anyone knows of any reason why a company should not be licensed then they need to refer the matter to EH/licensing who can remove their licence and take it further.

Obviously if you dont like them and you dont find them hygenic enough for you then that is obviously fine, dont use them.

However, the Licensing depts, EH and the HPA all work together to protect health and these fish spas do not/ should not be operating outside of the licensing regime.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research ;)
