You say "putting loads in my electric " - does this mean you have a ppm?
When you say about 2-rate are you talking about meter, tariff or both?
By default a supplier is likely to put a new customer with a 2-rate meter on a 2-rate tariff unless the customer specifies otherwise. What did you tell E-On when you changed supplier?
What money are you expecting to be able to get back from either E-On or British Gas?IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

hi yes i have a ppm, when i phoned e-on up they said my meter is set up at rate-2 tariff and it should of been set up at rate 1, e-on didnt ask me when i changed from b/g,about what rate etc.
I wanted to no if i was on this wrong rate with b/g am i entitalled to any money that i was paying on this higher rate0 -
Are you talking about Economy 7, i.e. do you have night storage heaters for your heating, and an immersion heater with a timer to heat your hot water overnight on cheap rate? If not, you should probably not be on a dual rate tariff. You need to give more info.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Unless you told BG (and can prove) you wanted to be on a 1-rate tariff then you are not entitled to any refund. Ditto E-On.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.
