Aldi-anywhere to store my

Hi
I am going back to Aldi today and know I am going to buy more than what is on my list.
Problem is , I suffer from arthritis and cannot carry heavy shopping, so I want to take my shopping trolley with me..is there anywhere I can leave whilst I shop?, I don't remember seeing any notices about this when I went for the first time last week. Obviously, I cannot push my own and their trolley around the shop.
I would be at Woodgate in Leicester by the way.

Will your shopping trolley not fit in the Aldi trolley (large one) with your shopping??
I'm assuming yours is one of the wheeled case type ones??

    Good luck.

mines not fussy about you using your own bags/trolleys to put stuff in as you shop , then unpack it all at the till

Hi Renegade. I can't help you re where to leave your trolly as i've never been to the Aldi near to you. At the Aldi in Meridian there is a space behind the check outs where people pack things, but i'm not sure it would be safe to leave it there, maybe you could go at a time when they aren't busy and ask the staff where it would be safe to leave it?

Anyway, i wanted to say hi as i live not far from you, near to Dovelands primary school .

Just curious....what do you think of Leicester market? I have stopped going there as i'm fed up of getting rotten stuff that just doesn't last. Also, do you listen to Radio Leicester?

I would put it in a trolley they provide. Dont forget you may need £1 for it

I would mention that you will have probs to either the person on the till or a security person which they tend to have in most of their stores.

    Hi,

I'm in Leicester as well:) I know the store you mean.

I expect its too late now as I guess you have gone by now. However, since Aldi don't give away bags, you must be able to use your own. Whatever that might be. I hope the shop gives you some help :)

You could ask a member of staff if you could leave your trolley behind 1 of the tills but if it were to go missing im not sure if the member of staff would be responsible for it.
  • Hello from another Leicester person!

For future reference my mum has a trolley and she has tied some strong twine to the handle in a loop which then fits around the hook on the shopping trolley (apparently the moulded plastic trolley handles are too thick to fit on the shopping trolley hook!).

    Another Leicester person here!

I work for Sainsburys and some customers with their own shopping trolleys leave them at the bottom of the checkouts. The area is busy as there are seats there as well.

Aldi don't do baskets so if your shopping basket has a flat top, grab an empty shelf ready packaging box and rest that on top of your trolley and use that as a 'basket'

If you cannot find an empty box, there is usually one line with about 3 or 4 items in a box, move those and use that.

I see customers in the Aldi in St Georges and the one near me all the time.
