How long should you give someone to pay?

3 of my items ended on Wednesday, 2 of the winners paid within minutes. One still hasnt paid and I have had no reply to emails
The person was the only bidder and places theirs within about 1 minute of the item ending. I cant believe they have now had the cheek not to pay.
What would you do?

Most people on this board will agree that you should give them at least 7 days to pay and then send a polite reminder. Buyers aren't required to pay immediately at the end of an auction.
It's possible that they weren't even at their PC when they bid, they could have been doing it automatically using an auction sniper or similar software.
I get people taking up to 7 days to pay, even by Paypal. Although it's unusual it does happen. The 7 day reminder usually does the trick. If they decide not to pay then you always have the option of claiming your fees back anyway.
If you bombard the buyer with emails chances are they will leave you negative feedback if they think they're being pressured into paying.
I know it's a pain waiting around but sometimes that's the way things go on EBay!0 -

Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.0 -
I always, always use Buy It Now with immediate payment. When I first started using eBay I did it the auction way but had two losers in quick succession that didn't pay.
Since then the number of losers has shot up ridiculously so I don't bother using eBay at all. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has walked away either.0
