Disabled parking near Lincoln Cathedral?

On Saturday there will be about 1,000 people in the cathedral, my wife is going with a friend, she has a blue badge and was wondering where she can park close by?
Went on the Lincoln City site http://www.lincoln.gov.uk/Info_page_two_pic_2_det.asp?art_id=11267&sec_id=4204
But cannot see where the cathedral is or which carpark to use or how to get there? She will arrive from the west on the A57.

when we went we parked in a car park fairly close by (needed to walk through some narow streets before we got to the cathedral). we just followed the parking signs for the cathedral. There was also a little hopper bus that we caught from the cathedral to town and town back upto the car park.

Thanks both but still need to sort this. Why doesn't the map of car parks show the cathedral? There seems to be only one car park near and I suspect it will be reserved for the hundred dignitaries going to the enthronement with no space left for the 900 lesser mortals. So where are the disabled parking bays? Anyone live in Lincoln have any tips?

When we attended Lincoln Cathedral for a graduation we had to park at least half a mile away, so you need to ring parking services and ask them personally I think. You may be able to get a sticker for parking close to the cathedral itself.

Thanks, we have now heard that there will be 2,400 people arriving so I am going to drop them off.
