You can get some wrist travel bands, I've been told that they work well by friends
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)
  • I suffer pretty badly but love diving/snorkelling. Bad combination. I have always found that anything containing Dimenhydrinate (sold as Dramamine) works for me. If you want to go down the non-drug route some swear by ginger.

  • keep away from fast ferries and lower decks of ships. don't travel on an empty stomach. don't struggle to wak about if unsteady on your feet. give the ginger a try - even munching ginger nuts can help.

  • take your pick of any motion sickness tablets - just make sure you take them before you feel ill (preferably before you get on the boat) + emergency can of ginger beer (good for hangovers too)

If you find yourself on the boat and are feeling sick, all boats have different motions but generally near the waterline and further aft (often near the engines) the boat moves less. However if you can see the water (usually not near the engines!) like being on deck or next to a large window this is good too as you can see the difference between your motion and the horizon. this way you know why you are moving. If you are in a closed room and it's going up and down - your body thinks you've been poisoned and makes you sick. :D
