is this camcorder good enough ?

found this camcorder, would it be 'good' enough for an 8 yr old ? Or would i really be better spending a bit more?

Its just to 'play' with, recording her and her friends dance videos and their shows. It seems from reading the description its just a record and plug in to watch which is what we want really, nothing to technical but if the quality is going to be totally un watchable i'd rather pay a bit more.

Personally I think Kodak's range of waterproof cameras are top class (Playsport series), but are rather more expensive:

There are some v. cheap camcorders on argos and tesco ebay outlet. . . Vivitar have disappointed us in the past.

I have a minohd and kodak hd both good but prefer the kodak -takes still photos too.Google pocket cams and look for a branded one ~£500
