Parking Charge Notice received

Hi everyone, today I have received one of these from excel parking for £40 within 7 days or £60 after that. The annoying thing is I was in a store waiting to pay when I looked at the time and realised we were near the 30 minutes free parking so I sent my partner to the car, the parking attendant was stood with the car and proceeded to write out a ticket even though he said I was on my way and we would be going. The parking attendant stated that nothing could be done as my partner wasn't the driver of the car and we were over the time, which we were by then.
I have read on here to not pay these and they will eventually disappear, I just don't want to be hit with more costs in a few months if I don't pay it now.
Any advice welcome, thanks

you have done nothing wrong, you have not recieved a ticket/fine, you have recieved an unenforceable invoice not backed by law or the like,,,what to do,,,,ignore full stop,,also read the stickies on ppcs and what to expect,, but ile tell you anyway,,,firstly you will get another letter threatening everything but firing squad for you to pay them,,,excell=scum,,,their letters are sent out by lucy,,,she is an illegal immigrant working for free, as excell have told her they will snitch on her otherwise,,,next letter,,,roxburghe debt collectors,,they are actually under investigation as we speak for dodgy practices,,honestly,,,anyway their letters are sent out by dumd john(he cannot get a job anywhere else and does not realise he should be paid for his work),,he is on the next desk along to lucy,,,after various threats by them you will recieve letters from a phoney solicitor called,,,,graham white,,again making variuos threats,,,their letters are sent by,,wait for it,,,janis,,she is on the desk in the corner next to the ladies(she is on work experience,so does not get a wage),,she spends half her day on/in the loo,the other half texting her mates saying what an easy job she has,,,,,so this is the clowns you will be dealing with (not,,ignore everything),,they will threaten court,,,,they have just been spanked where i live by michael cutts(google him),,and they were given a severe beating by victoria hetherington-jakeman,,,where the the judge severley rapped excell for scaremongering and intimidation,,,so there you are no need to worry ignore everything sent to you from or on behalf of excell,,relax, chill, sleep well and do not worry.

Why don't you believe what you have read? You cannot be "hit with more costs" when you owe them nothing to start with.
Ignore Excel but complain to whichever shop you were in and tell them you will not be giving them any more business until they stop employing cowboys to persecute their customers.

Just ignore it. It's not a fine, not enforceable and the 'cost' stays at zero when you do not pay, doesn't it?!.

Read the stickies at the top of the forum, check out 'PPC letters, what to expect' and 'welcome, please read before posting' at the top. Watch the Watchdog clip linked there.

Tis a scam and you must not respond to the scammer company. Do not even THINK about 'appealing' (as if they are going to allow any, LOL, think about it!!). This is a private, profit-making company with no requirement for any appeals procedure. It's only there to fool you into believing it's a real ticket, and to gather information.

Read the stickies, all is explained. Nothing happens to your credit rating when you ignore a con-merchant like a PPC.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
