PPI claims joint names but now divorced?

My partner has been naging me about helping him claim back PPI's one for barclays and one for abby national.
The problem he has is that they were both in joint names with his ex wife who about two years ago went bankcrupt. (Both accounts were paid off not included in her bankcruptcy)
He wants me to use the sar forms on here to send off to the relevent companys for him, the problem is should I also included her name on the forms or just his? would she be intitled to the money even though she went bankcrupt? they are not on good speaking terms so he does not want to speak to her about this.
Any advice gratefully received

Hi
With SAR's you do not have to request in joint names as far as I am aware, and he will be requesting this in his own right and they will or should delete details of the partner.
I am really not too certain on if the ex would be entitled to any of the PPI, but as the loan was still on joint names, his ex was still then responsible for the loan which included the PPI, but hopefully someone will be along to clarify on this matter shortly.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"

I'm struggling with a similar situation.
Egg agreed redress to the sum of £7500 but because the loans were in joint names two cheques were issued in joint names! We were divorced seven years ago so obviously have no joint account in which to deposit the cheques!
No idea where my ex is and Egg refusing to budge. Going slightly mad...any advice?:beer:0 -
If the policy was in joint names, they will need to get a discharge of any claim against them from both of you. In such circumstances, the firm can also object to FOS considering it if only one complains unless there is a good reason not to (such as the other person is dead).0
