Santander Contact Centre service.

Unbelievably bad !!!!! It is incredible how very bad these people are. Do they not care about their customers, or better still, know what sort of practices to employ in order to give even decent customer service ?!??!

To top things off I have just been told "bear with me a moment" (no reason given for being placed on hold, by the way) and I am now been on hold for the past ten minutes and running. The hold music is God dam awful, as well !! lol.

I knew there was a valid reason why I gave up banking with them now !! Myself and the girlfriend both opened an account and switched a couple of DD's / SO's in order to get the £100 incentive. They switched EVERYTHING on my girlfriend's account, so you can imagine the stress and implications that this produced. She promptly then closed the account with them. Awful !!

Disgraceful service tonight. The girl came on the phone with an attitude - she was clearly having a bad day, or had come off the back of a bad call. Anyway, that was far from fair on me. Her attitude and tone were truly awful !! Plus she was less than knowledgable about something relating to my account. Truly snoddy service.

Anyway, folks, have a good night. That was such an ordeal that I am off to have a couple of pints as I truly need it now. I have no real right to feel this way, either. :(

Laters.

Myself and the girlfriend both opened an account and switched a couple of DD's / SO's in order to get the £100 incentive.
and yet you opened an account with them again just to get £100.
They switched EVERYTHING on my girlfriend's account
Isn't that the point of switching your account to them? I know they send you a list of the SOs and DDs on your account, but I always thought they just switched everything using the automated BACS transfer system.
, so you can imagine the stress and implications that this produced.
So, not worth the £100 then?

I only ever use 'spare' accounts to get incentives, so if they screw up, I don't care. Although I must admit, in the case of Santander, I cancelled within the 14 day 'cooling off' period. They were crap. Even managed to send me internet banking details that said no accounts were available and then said I needed new signon details for the account I opened (a current account).
  • No, my girlfriend specified that only two be transferred.

I have the 100 quid from them already. They never got back to me regarding my complaint. Jokers !!

You can't specify that only 2 be transferred.

All mandates will be transferred. This is made clear in the literature.
