hi.. i have sold on ebay for over 18 months with no problems at all about my discription on items...
i sold a 1920's pair of shoes.. which states underneath size 2 .. which i also said were very petite....
someone asked me the size.. so i gave them the actual inner and outter measurements..
someone else bought them..... and is now saying i did not make it clear that they were not modern.. and that they are not size 2.... and that they dont fit her...saying that my listing is mis-leading... and that she has had a second opinion on this.. and they think its mis-leading as well
she as asked me to come up with a solution before she leaves negative feedback...
i have offered a refund on return of the shoes... but without the cost of postage.....as i feel my description is not mis- leading.....
the item no... is 15000802087008.. what do you think....?
be be honest.... these shoes should be in a collectors collection or a museum not on her feet... imo...

Is the item number correct?

found them
150080287008
just reading auction now0 -
i think the fact that you said you have had them for over 20 years should make it obvious that they are not modern!
i think you are being very generous by offering a refund on return of the shoes0 -
you stated the size the shoe said on it and also measurements were added
that is the risk you take buying clothing and shoes from ebay unfortunately as you cannot try on before buying and buyer should realise that you can't just return things when they don't fit if size was stated correctly in auction0 -
Tell her to start a "not as described" dispute and see where it gets here. ie.. nowhere.
Dont worry about it. Dont give a refund. If she leaves negative just explain why and no other buyers will judge you on it.0 -
thanks...... here is a copy of the email she sent to me....
Dear Heather, thank you for your response. I have noted the answer to the measurement question, and have myself measured these shoes, and as generous as I try to be with the tape measure, I can only measure just over 7 3/4 inches at the longest point. Also, you do say again size two. I feel it's really important for us ebayers to be scrupulous in our dealings and I do feel you ought to have said that these were not a modern size 2. We cannot assume that people will know we must be honest and not either assume people will know, or hope they won't ask. I don't know which was the case with you, and I am trying hard to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you did not intent to mislead anybody, but I have had a second person look at the description, and they too are of the impression this is misleading, however unintentional. I prefer to be on good terms with fellow ebayers and leave good feedback, so offer you the chance to come up with a solution. Many thanks
i can appreciate.... that when buying shoes.. clothes etc.... you cant try them on..... but i feel i have not mis-lead.. or given false info.... i personally think her measurement is wrong ...and if you look on the tape measure the amount that she says my measurement is out by.... i think that was the outter measurements.... and its the inner measurement with shoes is the most important... as the slant of the heel makes t5he outter measurement shorter...
oh ye plus they were in the vintage 1920's section... and you can clearly see by the inner shoe they are not modern....Work to live= not live to work0 -
To be honest, I would have replied saying everything was outlined in the advert and that they have mis-read it, rather than it being misleading, and that you will, out of kindness refund, however stress the buyer is at fault.
If they give you grief and you're going to get a neg anyway the let them start a dispute which they'll be unlikely to win.
Feedback comment "Items perfectly as described. Buyer either needs glasses or is TSFE" :rotfl:It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

thanks peeps......
this is the first time anyone has confronted me on an item sold......
plus i suppose its the law of average..... its going to happen lol.
and the be honest i was in 2 minds to seel these shoes ..its only but i want to try and pay the credit card bills.....and at the end of the day i need the money more than the shoes........i'm a size 4 so would never wear them anyway.... even if they did fit.......as they are more of a colletors item than shoes for using......
we live and learn........
if she leaves neg.. then she leaves neg.......its not the end of the world......Work to live= not live to work0 -

Tell her to take a hike.:D Preferably wearing those shoes.
I read your listing and I can’t see anything wrong with it.
Don’t refund her to avoid a neg. She might leave one anyway.
One neg in 505 out of 566 transactions will mean very little though it is a shame to lose your 100%.
If she does neg you, leave a dispassionate and factual response. Don’t slag her off as that then makes you look bad.0
