Car Insurance Payment Not Taken

I paid my car insurance renewal two weeks before it was due in October. I received my online certificate and an e-mail confirming payment saying if there was any problem with the payment they would e-mail me.

They have still not taken the amount from my bank account almost a month after renewal date. If I had to make a claim would I be insured?

You need to contact the insurer immediately.

If the payment has failed for some reason, they could cancel the policy. If they did cancel, it would be a bad mark on your insurance record even if it was the insurance company error and it may not be easy to get your record cleared.

It is not worth the risk, contact them to find out what is happening.

I was watching my account several times a day for a week after i renewed with the same company.

In the end i had to phone them to see payment had not been taken. Although i quite like the fact they had
not taken any money, The thought of them spotting it weeks later and cancelling the policy appealed a lot
    less.

Chase them just incase payment was refused and they wrote to you and you didnt get it. But still cancelled anyway.

As others have said, you need to sort this.

And before you drive it today, check askmid website and make sure your car is shown as being insured!
