Hi all, just a query for any in the know.Hearing last week about the benefit increases in line with inflation for next year I was wondering if you use your HRM for a mobility car and it takes your full allowance each month then next april the benefit increase is applied does that go to the motability people for the car you have or does the extra be paid to you?
counting down the time I got left.:beer:

I'm almost certain that any increases in HRM go to Motability. They certainly did when then was an increase this year.0

Yes, any extra money will go straight to Motability.0
-
So do we get an increase then? Any idea what it is?0

all the HRM does go to motability,as far as increases from next april go for benefits in general inc dla, then they should increase by septembers rate of inflation(5.2%)however this may or may not happen next year, all should be revealed in the pre budget statement later this month
they are considering a number of possibilities, the full increase/no increase/an increase in line with wage increases that would be around 2.4%
the govts argument is that by next april inflation is expected to have fallen well below current levels as januarys vat increase falls off the figures0 -
Wow any increase in DLA would be good with ever increasing costs. Had forgotten about an increase as haven't had a salary increase for some time as work in public sector part time.0

Any bets that if this does happen, if next septembers rate of inflation is anomalously low, they won't be topping up rises?0

Perhaps one of you may know the answer to my question, when you sign a hire contract for your motobility car its for 3 years, so why is it that when you get a DLA increase that motobility takes thats increase? Because you signed the agreement for 3 yrs how can they then take any rise from you?..................
If you went to any garage and bought a car on contract they would take the argreed amount per month, just because you get a rise during the term they couldnt ask you for your recent rise ..!..........
Perhaps theres a simple explaination that ive over looked......:o0 -
But that's the point, you haven't signed a contract to pay £51.40/week for a car, you've signed one that pays your HRM to Motability.
Motability will have factored in annual increase of HRM into the "price" for a particular vehicle. Maybe next year they'll be ahead, the following one they could be down, that's their risk.0 -
The motability contract is for the total HRM (T/A in the amount required) allowance and not for any monetary amount which is why any increase goes to motability.

When I signed the contract for my son's mobility car, it was for the 'total amount', not a specific figure - so any increase goes to Motability.0
