Faulty Hiking Boots - Refund Refusal

Hi Guys,
Please help, the stitching failed on my Meindl hiking boots after very little use, Ellis Brigham sent them for repair but they have failed again.
Ellis Brigham are refusing to refund saying that they have had too much usage (as indicated by their condition). I disagree. They are also saying that they need to be inspected by the manufacturer and that I should pay the postage (to Germany!).
What should I do next?
Cheers,
Mick

When did you buy them? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0

They were about 4 months old when they first failed. They were repaired then failed again a couple of months later.
I am still fighting this, Ellis Brigham say that its my fault for not maintaining them correctly. This is not correct.
What next?0 -
Get an independant report to state it's not down to fair wear and tear, which is what they are saying, if you can't convince them then you can either pay for the manufacturer to look at them, or take them to a small claims court and hope a judge agrees with you.0
