Hi,
I know parking is a nightmare in Oxford but we're going to The New Theatre on Sunday evening - we'll get there about 6pm and leave about 11.30pm. We'd like to park as close as possible as we'll need to get home sharpish to relieve my Mom of our baby!
I've looked on a few websites but they all seem to be max 2 hours metered parking or the car parks shut at 8pm. I also read somewhere that the park 'n' ride doesn't operate that late (which we'd normally use in Oxford).
There must be something we can use rather than parking in a residential area & getting a taxi in!
Many thanks, C xx

I went to a Haunted Happenings event (I think) and the carpark we parked in, can't remember the name sorry but it was within spitting distance of the castle stated it shut at 8pm but it didn't. I didn't understand what it meant, but it meant something to the carpark warden. He told us we'd be fine to get out at stupid o'clock and we were.
The Oxford Playhouse recommends these
There are large (NCP) car parks in Gloucester Green, Worcester Street and the Westgate Shopping Centre.0 -
On street parking in the centre should be available then, and free, though you may need to pay for 5.30 - 6/6.30.0
-
If you don't know Oxford then don't even think about on street parking.
Good advice from Murtle, these 3 car parks are close to the New Theatre though Worcester Street fills up quickly, Gloucester Green is an underground one and Westgate is a very large multi storey but approx 10 mins walk from the NT.
Bring plenty of cash !!!!0
